The Razer Barracuda Pro Wireless is a hybrid headset designed for versatility, whether you’re gaming or using them more often. Like other headsets in the Barracuda lineup, such as the Razer Barracuda Wireless and Razer Barracuda X Wireless, they come with a 2.4GHz wireless dongle for consoles and support Bluetooth, meaning you can stay connected to your phone. To make them even more versatile, Razer has also equipped these headphones with adjustable noise cancellation (ANC) and an integrated microphone to make them look less gamer-centric. They’ve also added compatibility with the Razer Synapse 3 software on PCs and the Razer Audio app on smartphones for additional customization.

Razer Barracuda Pro is good for neutral sound. Using the default EQ and THX Spatial Audio disabled, these headphones have a fairly neutral sound profile that is versatile. While there’s a bit of over-emphasis in the bass range, the extra punch, kick and boom doesn’t overpower the vocals and lead instruments. The high-mids can make these sounds a bit harsh, but luckily, you can connect these headphones to a computer or mobile app that offers graphic EQ and presets to help you fine-tune their sound. They’re closed-back headphones, so their passive soundstage doesn’t sound too open or wide.
The Razer Barracuda Pro Wireless is the next addition to Razer’s Barracuda lineup, a hybrid gaming/casual headset that supports 2.4GHz wireless in addition to Bluetooth via a USB dongle. Unlike the mid-range model, the Razer Barracuda Wireless, they also have ANC. Their noise isolation performance is excellent, especially for gaming headphones, though if you’re trying to wear them on a long flight or commute, they’re less effective at blocking out the low-end hum of engines. If you prioritize noise cancellation when you travel, consider our best noise-canceling headphones instead. That said, these headphones offer customizable and versatile performance whether you’re playing on a console or connected to your smartphone.
